Urban Elevator Service, Inc. installs non-proprietary custom elevator installations. Simply meaning, as a non-manufacturer of a standard product line, Urban Elevator enjoys the flexibility of meeting your buildings particular needs. We are not limited to specific hoistway sizes, pit depths, speeds or capacities. Urban Elevator installs all sizes and types of passenger elevators in all types of buildings. Our installations include but are not limited to schools, factories, hospitals, hotels, high rises, warehouses and retail stores. Traction Elevators

Traction elevator equipment is designed to service buildings in excess of five stories where greater speed and capacities are required. Urban Elevator custom designs traction elevator equipment to suit virtually any speed, capacity and/or existing hoistway conditions. Utilizing either geared or gearless hoisting equipment traction elevators are designed for speeds between 200-1800 feet per minute. Hoisting machines are capable of utilizing either DC or AC technology with solid state drives.

Hydraulic Elevators

Hydraulic elevator equipment is designed to service buildings typically five stories or less. Urban Elevator can custom design hydraulic elevator equipment to suit virtually any speed, capacity and/or existing hoistway conditions within the limitations of the hydraulic product. Ideally, the hydraulic product should be limited to applications three stories or less at speeds not greater than 200 feet per minute. Due to rising costs and geological issues the holeless or non-bore hole market of the hydraulic elevator industry continues increase. Unfortunately as a result, this segment of the business continues to be pushed to the outer limits of the hydraulic markets capabilities thus creating the essential need for a more cost competitive and reliable mid rise solution.

MRL (Machine Room Less Elevator)

The Machine Room Less Elevator is one of latest innovations in recent elevator Technology. This particular type of equipment was designed to bridge the ever increasing gap between the hydraulic and traction markets. The machine room less elevator is a great solution for buildings that exceed the ideal height and speed limitations of a hydraulic application. The machine room less elevator gives these buildings the opportunity to experience a lot of the benefits of a traction elevator with costs modestly above that of the hydraulic market.

Some of the more noticeable benefits of the machine room less elevator are:

• Does not require a machine room thus creating additional usable space;
• Reactions are distributed on the individual floors as opposed to a single floor;
• Unlike a traditional hydraulic elevator it does not require a bore hole with potential E.P.A. issues;
• Increased flexibility in the placement of the elevator based on it's compact design;
• Considerably more reliable in a mid rise application than the hydraulic;
• Priced modestly above hydraulic equipment.
