Today's new residential lifts are typically of a more compact design and require fewer modifications on the part of the facility owner. These lifts are typically free standing hydraulic or traction types which have minimal electrical and/or structural requirements. These units come complete with or without enclosures, in varying capacities (typically no more than 1,000#) and speeds.
