Urban Elevator Service, Inc. installs a full line of Class “A”, Class “B” and Class “C” non-proprietary freight elevators.

We are not limited to specific hoistway sizes, pit depths, speeds or capacities. Urban Elevator installs all sizes and types of freight elevators in all types of buildings. The most commonly seen freight elevators are your traditional service elevators. Traditional service elevators are rated class “A” type. Class “A” type elevators are not capable of handling more than twenty five percent of their capacity in one single load. The Class “A” freight or better know as the service elevator has become one of the most predominantly utilized forms of freight elevators in both commercial and residential applications.

Class “B” freight and Class “C”

Class “B” freight and Class “C” freight applications are typically seen or utilized in manufacturing plants, warehouses, hospitals, parking garages and retail stores. Class “B” is strictly used for vertical transportation of motor vehicles at it rated capacity. Subsequently, its structure and design are engineered specifically for this application and imposed loads. Class “C” is designed and engineered to be loaded utilizing power trucks or forklifts and are typically seen in manufacturing plants or warehousing facilities.

Freight elevators are available in traction, hydraulic or machine room less applications at a wide variety of speeds and capacities depending on their intended use.
